Delicate red berry aromas with mineral notes, along with floral hints and a subtle spice. Rock Angel is rich and racy on the palate. The use of partial oak aging adds a creamy feel and texture to this wine, and the flinty minerality imbues it with another layer of complexity. Powerful and elegant. Rock Angel is made from grapes primarily from the Vineyards of Chateau d'Esclans in addition to the most choice Vineyards in the vicinity of the Esclans Valley and nearby in the Cotes de Provence region. Harvesting is conducted in the morning for Estate cultivated grapes and during the night time for sourced grapes. this helps to avoid the heat of the day and to keep the crop fresh. 

Chateau d'Esclans, a magical property, is situated in the heart of Provence, northeast of St. Tropez. Sacha Lichine acquired the Chateau in 2006 and had a vision to create the best rosés in the world, igniting the "Rosé Renaissance".

Estate wine is made from Grenache and Rolle (Vermentino) and brings together the different approaches used to craft their wine. Stainless steel and barrel fermentation, which gives is a unique cross between freshness and complexity, creating a full style rosé with a smooth and creamy texture that is rich and long on the palate. 

Patrick Léon (Founding Winemaker) became an essential part of the project and brought many years of experience in international experience in winemaking. He introduced new and innovative winemaking techniques to Provence which revolutionized the styles of rosés being produced from this appellation. His innovation led to the creation of the world class rosé portfolio from Chateau d'Esclans, which includes Whispering Angel, Rock Angel, Les Clans, and Garrus. Patrick's son, Bertrand, currently leads the winemaking team.
